Citi Global Community Day
Citi celebrates Global Community Day (GCD) annually in June. This year, I was in charge of assisting in their internal communications which included writing articles, planning and designing postcards for Citi's paralympians, and overall executing the event.

A Week In My Life As A Citi Intern

Overall coordination
I assisted in two segments - Child-Aid Fundraising Initiative, and supporting Citi's Paralympics. As part of the overall coordination process, I had to contact volunteers, and employees for information to write about as well as updating the volunteers about what had to be done, and their progress.

Postcards
I was placed in-charge of designing, printing and mailing postcards to Citi's paralympians who were taking part in Tokyo 2021 Paralympics. The postcards consisted of notes from Citi's volunteers which took coordination and communication to compile, before successfully mailing them out to encourage the paralympians.

CitiBanker
The CitiBanker is Citi's internal publication. I was given the opportunity to write 3 articles about GCD's progress, as well as design infographics and collages to show colleagues how much funds has been raised, as well as what the volunteers have been doing over this period. These articles were posted on The CitiBanker.

Media Relations/ Internal Communications
In essence, my scope of work included media relations, internal communications, research, and GPA-related administration. For media relations, I assisted in media monitoring, drafting of media coverage reports and updates of media lists. I also contributed to the internal communications work through conceptualisation and write-ups of articles to be featured in Citi’s internal newsletters and intranet, and the management of Citi’s Email Distribution Tools.
