Feeling Busy?

Busy seasons are always always always testaments of His faithfulness and grace. His mercies are new every morning!

As I watch my calendar slowly fill itself up, day by day, with more and more responsibilities coming my way, I’m pleasantly surprised how grace has carried me in this time.

I hope I don’t speak too soon, but the busyness of life has left me unfazed. Tired, yet calm, and at peace. A certain peace washes over me every morning, and every night as I rest. My capacity has increased miraculously too. As someone who breaks easily under pressure, this has been pretty amazing to me. I see God’s hand, and I’m so excited to see more of what He would do.

I’ve also learnt that rest is not a given in busy days. Rest should be actively sought for, for it is a spiritual discipline. One needs to be disciplined to have rest — something I’m slowly learning.

I hope to cling onto these reminders when the waves come, when i’m feeling overwhelmed, I hope to remember how faithful He is, and has been.

May I see Your hand, working and weaving through the busy days. May You stay in my thoughts - purify and cleanse them from every impure thing.

May I seek You always, for these things on my calendar are nothing compared to You.

Timely reminders from my sleep deprived self a night ago. Funny how these words sprung to my head once my head hit the pillow.
